Photo Story Friday; Picking Pumpkins

I know we will be visiting pumpkin patches several times in the next few weeks. Last weekend was our first visit, with Steve's parents. Steve took the boys out into the field to begin the hunt.

I wonder if I can make a fictitious story out of the pictures...




Once upon a time, a daddy went to a pumpkin patch with his adorable little boys.















They were in search for the perfect pumpkins to take home.














"Hey, Dad" called the older of the two boys. "How about this one?"


"Why don't you keep looking?" replied the patient father.








So the boys resumed their search.















"What about this one?" asked the younger boy.


"That one looks good" said the daddy.















But when the little boy turned around to see which pumpkin his brother had picked out...

















His pumpkin was gone!


"Where did it go?" asked the little boy.
"I put it it RIGHT HERE."












But after a few minutes of sadness over his lost pumpkin, he set out in search again.

"It's okay, Daddy. I found another one" he said eagerly.














"I think I'll have Daddy's Mommy guard the pumpkin this time, just to be sure it doesn't disappear again" thought the younger boy.

And he was quite proud of this plan.











Meanwhile, the daddy was off to help the older son find a pumpkin that would be just right. They worked together to lift and carry the large discovery all the way back to the wagon.












After seeing what had happened to his younger brother's pumpkin, the older brother guarded his new friend all the way back to the car.















And they all went home with fun memories of adventure in the pumpkin patch.
