Thank you to everyone who sent such kind words after my last post. I can't believe how nice it was to receive emails from people with words to bring encouragement. It really has been a blessing to meet you through your blogs.
It is nice to heading back into real life today. After snow days and days off due to a broken hand, Noah is finally headed back to school this morning. A lot of local school have delays but I know his school will not. Aaron and I will start a new Musikgarten class this morning, which he is excited about. Then it's off to get him a haircut and PRAY for a nap from him today. He is desperately trying to give them up and I am trying just as hard to keep them. Noah gave them up way earlier but he also wasn't an early riser like Aaron. Double A (as my Dad calls him) has always waken up wirth the rooster and now that they share a room, he brings his brother with him along for the ride.
I want to share a card that Noah made this weekend. I just love his emergent literacy (spoken like a true teacher, don't you think?) He decided that he needed to make a book so he went and got a piece of green construction paper and folded it in half. On the front, he drew a picture of himself, complete with pink cast. On the inside he wrote a story. I will use his spellings with explanations in red.
Noahs mom is with Dad
and Aaron
and Gramu (grandma)
and
Grapu(grandpa)
and
Odin (his cousin, spelled correctly)
and Ceeru (his cousin, Kira)
and Ulivu (his cousin, Olivia)
and Crdr (his cousin, Carter)
and Patrick (his cousin, spelled correctly)
and Jumee (his cousin Jamie)
The end
Then he turned to me and said, "Mommy, this is all my family"
I know he knows and loves all of his other cousins and grandparents, but I thought it was cute that he just randomly picked some of his family members to list. Noah is very, very big on being together as a whole family and gets excited when we are all together.
Have a great Monday everyone, and feel better, Deb!

Thanks for the thought - still miserable today but back at work and going into the doctor later to see what's going on... :(
