How well do you know YOUR child?

This morning's weigh in was actually better than I expected. I maintained. No gain...no loss. Why is this good? Because after my doctor appointment on Tuesday, I was frustrated and came home and ate an ENTIRE bag of Hershey's chocolate eggs and then got french fries on the way to teaching. Now THAT"S a bad day! On top of that, we celebrated Steve's birthday on Sunday with an ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins and I HAD to eat some.

So that's why maintaining weight this week is a pleasant surprise.

In other news, I had a funny discovery last week when I went to register Aaron for preschool. I got his birth certificate from the safety deposit box and headed to the school. At a red light, I got it out to look at it. I don't even know why. This is what I discovered:

Apparently, an error has been made, unless they know something that I don't. I have little BOY, not a girl. I don't even know where to start to correct this mistake but I assume it needs to be taken care of. I'm sure it will probably cost money, too.

By the Way, Happy Spring! It started this morning while we were sleeping.

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Snort.

Bet that was a HUGE surprise after all those diapers you changed. Yes, get this fixed, or it's going to be an issue, but I don't even know how you would do it.

Congrats on the weight - that cake was just too yummy to avoid! :)

How did your appointment go on Tuesday? Were they able to give you any answers?

I can't believe they messed up his birth certificate like that! It's not exactly a difficult thing to determine... :) Wow, I have no idea how you'd fix that either - could start with the County Clerk though, I guess. So where did you end up registering him (or should I say her, LOL?) for preschool?

Poor kid - better not tell him about this or he'll never live it down later on...

Changing information on a birth certificate varies from state to state, I believe. Google "birth certificate change" and your state and that should point you in the right direction! What a pain!

I hope everything went OK on Tuesday with your doctor appointment.

My oldest daughter has a boy name and I am always having to correct people that she is a girl. Not when they see her, but when I talk about her, like call the doctor and I give her name and they ask what's going on with HIM. But having it on the birth certificate! What a mess. I wonder what proof they will need to fix that. I hope you don't have to take him in and have him prove it! Good luck.

Congrats on the girl. That is kinda funny, but only because I am not the one that has to figure out how to go about changing it.

Great job on the maintaining and we woke up to snow today so yea, happy spring!!!

Congrats on the weigh in. I am just waiting for after Easter to find the scale. And oh my, the birth certificate! I hope the rewrite isn't too painful for you or little man.

Happy spring! And love the waterslide picture!

I don't know if you remember or not, but they put "Male" on my first Driver's License up here in the Great Lake State. I called to change it and they laugh and made me bring in my Birth Certificate to change it!

I guess it evened out!

Ok, I want to know where you bought the magic chocolate eggs... :)

And I never even thought to check the birth certificates... yikes! You would think that would be correctly recorded. I wish you luck reeling in the red tape to get it fixed :(

Oh no! I hope it doesn't take to much money or effort to fix it.

Well, the same type of thing happened here. My Jason has a different surname than the rest of us. Just after his birth I went to have it corrected and they wouldn't allow me to do it because my husband wasn't with me. So...now Jason still has a different surname
