So I set out to do my Thursday Thirteen about snuggle pictures with mommy. The reason I picked out such a self serving theme is because my Mother's Day post, while accurate, was not nearly as uplifting as so many others I read.
As I was searching for pictures of me with the boys, I had two AHA moments...
A. We have very FEW pictures of me with the boys. I think we need to get Steve using the camera a whole lot more
B. We have a zillion pictures of the boys reading. They contain parents, grandparents, uncles, friends, and cousins reading.
With these two realizations, I started composing a different kind of post in my mind. The hardest part would be picking only 13 pictures. It was very hard. But here are the 13 FAVORITES that I found.
Hang in there until the end; the last one is my favorite.
Reading with mommy
I love this because Aaron isn't more than a couple of months old.
I love this one because it was during Noah's "Thomas" phase. Notice his hand resting on the roundhouse.
Reading with Daddy
I love Aaron's expression and Daddy's smile
Reading To A Doll
Reading To the Cat
Noah, Daddy, Minnie
Reading Side By Side
I found them this way one morning when I got out of the shower.
They had just gotten new air beds and decided they needed to read on them.
Big Brother reads to Little Brother
Aaron is totally out and Noah insists on continuing to read to him.
This is the most recent of all the shots.
Little Brother reads to Big Brother
I love Noah's smile as he watches Aaron read.
We are a House of Literacy.
I think the caption on this one should read "The Calm After The Storm"
